Though the turmoil of midterms is lurking on the horizon and the unpredictable Michigan weather is confusing just about everybody, students at Grand Valley State University and beyond should be gearing up to get engaged, stay informed and mobilize for their futures as the Republican presidential primaries make their way to the Mitten State on Feb. 28.

Michigan’s presidential primary is eight days away, and in the mean time, candidates and their totally unrelated and uncoordinated Super PACs will continue shelling voters with nice and not-so-nice ads trying to win votes. A man in a sweater vest now leads the polling by a healthy margin. Don’t worry though, disgraced Ohio State University ex-football coach Jim Tressel is not atop any polls in Michigan.

I want to address some bass-ackwards logic — and underage alcohol drinkers can listen up, as well — behind using illegal substances and then justifying it with “But it shouldn’t be.” While it is not an inaccurate statement, it is largely flawed.

The comedian on stage usually talks about stuff in their life and makes fun of it and this kind of acts as therapy to them in a way. So to say that rape is never ever funny is not true.
